“Lager louts” and “glassing” coming soon to the USA?
Writing for The Washington Monthly, Tim Heffernan suggests that the US has mostly escaped England’s enormous alcohol-related problems in large part because the 21st Amendment to the Constitution, which repealed Prohibition, created inefficiencies which made it difficult for the beer industry to integrate vertically as it did in the UK. But that may be changing.
