Hungary’s far Right finds a new enemy
Magdalena Marsovszky, a researcher of antisemitism in Hungary, writes about the disturbing tendency of the Hungarian nationalist extreme Right to link the era of Soviet domination which ended in 1989 with Jewish “traitors” and non-Communist leftists and liberals in the country today.

Is Russia arming Hezbollah?
Russia could be effectively arming Hezbollah as it presses ahead with a major arms deal to Syria further provoking Israel. Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said that “the contract is in progress.” Serdyukov added that Russia was also bent on carrying through on promises to deliver several Bastion anti-ship missile systems to Syria.

RIP Frank Buckles
Frank Buckles, the last known surviving American veteran of World War I, has died at the age of 110.
Twenty-three years after the war, in 1942, he was taken captive by the Japanese in Manila and endured three-and-a-half years of brutality, starvation and disease in a prison camp.
