I mentioned the S.H.I.T list because I believe Stone’s comments to be the result of a psychological self-loathing stemming from his Jewish origins. As I understand it, his father was Jewish. I’m NOT a doctor and don’t know Stone personally. But I am aware that ‘’some” people who are Jewish or of Jewish ancestry suffer from a kind of self hate stemming from their Jewishness. And many of these people have an intense desire to ”appear” as understanding and even agreeing to the many prevalent political anti-Israel opinions which seem to abound in many western European countries these days. They just want to be seen as ”fitting in”. This attitude probably applies to a good many of those people on the S.H.I.T list. It’s more than likely Stone’s attitude too. Sucking up to Hugo Chávez, Fidel Castro – even Ahmadinijad. All part of the same psychological syndrome, in my humble opinion. And like I said, I’m not a doctor nor know Stone in any way. His words betray him, though. He’ll probably attempt some feeble apology (don’t they all)! This will be just to protect his own interests in the world of filmography.

I don’t know who put together the S.H.I.T list. Do you? If you feel you’re listed there unjustly, perhaps you should take up the issue with the owner of the website where this list appears. Of course it’s entirely possible that there are people listed who perhaps shouldn’t be – and as with all lists, there is always this possibility. Nothing is perfect. I’m of the opinion that much work and research was done to put this list together and that the majority of the names listed are there for good reason.

The main problem with Jews who spout anti-Israel or anti-Jewish opinions, is that they’re playing into the hands of personalities like George Galloway or Ken Livingstone (and those of their ken) who will immediately put their comments to good use on behalf of the enemies of Israel and of Jews all over the world. Hence the danger for Israel and Jews all over. And the danger is very real. One can see and feel it all around us, day after day. and Like I said previously, I DON’T support everything Israel does or says. Just as there are many names listed on the ”Jews for Justice for Palestinians” list – these people listed are ABSOLUTELY entitled to their personal or political opinions, but they probably fail to realize that just the simple ”fact” of appearing there (rightly or wrongly) will help the enemies of Jews and the Jewish state.

Unlike, of course, all the smart-asses who’ve turned up here believing that you can be an expert on something that happened in 1963 by taking someone else’s [Gerald Posner and others paid to lie for the US Department of Justice] word on the matter. An unquestioning belief in all official accounts of historical events is, surely, symptomatic either of an utter lack of curiosity or, worse, of laziness and stupidity.

Within a few short months, people were complaining that there was “too much about the Holocaust” and, in giving themselves away, could only explain it by “Jewish domination of the media”.

But, of course, the difference is that nowadays, idiots like Stone believe it and, far from appearing as the antisemitic toerags that they are, are seen to be “brave” and talking “truth to power”.

I await Naomi Klein’s scathing retort to such overt reliance of antisemitic myths.

Stone’s remarks about ”Jewish domination of the media” is hardly original. Obviously Jews don’t ”dominate” world media. There are many Jews who do work in the media, and so what! Obviously it’s because they’re talented and have a few brains in their heads. Do I sense a little jealousy here?

As for the poster with the ”anglican tongue” (whatever that is). I wasn’t around when Jesus was crucified. And I’m Jewish! So how could I have killed him? (That’s if Jesus even existed). And what about the Romans? Didn’t they play a part?

Re the S.H.I.T list. While I don’t agree with every move Israel makes, I do believe that the people who have their names posted on this famous list present a danger for the State of Israel and Jewish communities around the world. There is a British sculptor and professor of biochemistry on this list who are family members of mine and while they are entitled to their opinions, there comes a point when they are putting Jewish people and the Jewish state at great risk.

Someone can be free to say something fatuous or bigotted, as Oliver Stone did, and others are free to point out that he said something fatuous and bigotted as has been done here. Freedom of speech =/= I can what I like without criticism.
