The Great Question Time Debacle. Moore makes some adverse comments about MCB while on QT. MCB litigate. BBC pays out £30 or £40 K to MCB.

A tragedy in three acts.

Obviously a little more complex but this is the nub of it.

Oh, and I don't pay my licence fee either.

Alcuin - don't forget that the BBC has been effectively hobbled by lawfare, ie any suggestion that the Muslim Council of Britain is not an organisation devoted exclusively to sweetness and light, will not get airplay after it paid out after the Question Time debacle.

Amusing to note that Charles Moore continues not to pay his television licence.

Hey I had a thought.

All you people who claim that Islam is not Islamism.

Find an Islamic television channel that isn't Islamist.

Good luck

Alcuin comment, from the first to the last word, is correct in every detail.

What's more I think you lefties know it, in your heart of hearts, I think you know it's true.

You Lefties can't fight these Islamonazis by yourselves you know, like it or not you need us conservatives or rather if you want to defeat the threat of Islamonazism you are going to need more than just wishful thinking.

Will a Muslim organisation that is <b>not</b> in favour of dawa, jihad and sharia please stand up? Don't all speak at once. Bungle is a regular presenter on the Islam Channel, is he not?

I would have thought that Boris were a bit more strong on British values, but it looks like he is just another politician, worried about votes and trying to be "nice" to everyone. But he is actually fooling neither of the two cultures in this debate, just buying time.

The organisation that should be standing up for British values is the BBC, after all, they don't have voters and seem pretty contemptuous of criticism. Unfortunately they have been infiltrated by multiculturalists blinded to threats by affluence and complacency, and the fatuous idea that being white, conservative and Christian is "hideous".

So they keep getting liberals on to discuss these issues (what idiot let that f***ing James woman on?), and to the BBC, Bungle and Ramadan are "liberals". When they want to spice things up a bit, they get Choudrary or Tamami on to "rock the boat" and create "good television" - i.e. "edgy" stuff. Edgy is good to media types, particularly if it involves gay sex, toilet humour or anything else likely to get Mary Whitehouse to roll in her grave.

But people like Wilders, Bostom, Warraq, Wafa Sultan, Nonie Darwish and Hirsi Ali are "edgy", aren't they? Why don't we ever see such people on the BBC? To be fair, Wilders was on Hardtalk once, but got a grilling from Sackur that the monster Omar Al-Bashir did not get from Zeinab Badawi. This is where political correctness (aka cultural cringe) cuts in.

It seems only criticism of conservative values is "edgy". Aren't Muslim clerics "conservative", though? No, the BBC's "despised tribes" only run to <i>Northern Irish Unionists, Christian fundamentalists, conservative Roman Catholics, UKIP, most Americans and anything that could be described in the sloppy terminology of "progressives" as "right wing"</i>

The doublethink is palpable.

Well Stan, we would have an idea of that if we could see a record of how many moderate Muslims complained to the Islam Channel about these repulsive adverts. How many do you think did?

So, my question (and it is not a rhetorical one) is "do the organizations that are written about in HP, like Islam channel represent mainstream thinking of Muslims in Britain?".

<i>The US government should step up the pressure on Britain to stop promoting Islamists in the public square.</i>

What, like how the US Government responded to British requests to stop allowing the promotion of the IRA through its funding vehicle Noraid? Ha, the shoe's on the other foot now, isn't it?

In any event, the British government shouldn't need US (or any other) pressure to reign in these Islamists.
