With all due respect to Labor for Palestine, what have they posted that connects the last (signature) page with the first two petition pages? In addition to the mysterious blackouts, it's clear that the last page of their fax/PDF (as opposed to the other two pages) is a blow up of just one section of a larger page.

Given the recent record of hoaxes and frauds associated with BDS (see http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1259243065278&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull), forgive me for not taking "Labor for Palestine" at their word when they claim to know someone's political views better than the person in whose name they are claiming to speak.

G. Bennet -- companies, yes. but have a look at this, from the NLG's document:

"BDS campaigns that are conceived independently, rather than as support for or in response to pressure by a hostile foreign government or in concert with the Arab League’s boycott of Israel, do not violate the anti-boycott laws. "

Labor for Palestine is now claiming that Brown & another AFL-CIO member signed the letter at a Dec. 5 USLAW meeting in Chicago. they posted a copy of the signup letter here:

Fred,
From my recent conversations with specialist American corporate lawyers, it seems to be pretty clear that a company that has an explicit or implicit policy to boycott Israel IS in breach of USA law.
I am not an expert, but according to these people (who are) American legislation on corporate wrongdoing is pretty strict.

This is the Nat'l Lawyers' Guild FAQ on the anti-boycott law. Seems to conclude most BDS campaigns don't run afoul of the law:

"If companies participated in anit-Israeli boycotts, I think it would affect any government contract they might want to get" No Stan, it is actually illegal, whether or not you want a gvt contract. It applies to all USindividuals and companies. There are swingeing penalties:

If companies participated in anit-Israeli boycotts, I think it would affect any government contract they might want to get. But, individuals or Unions would be unlikely to be seeking government contracts.
