Even though Iranian officials have returned the medal, diplomats from Sweden and Norway, homes to the institutions that help administer the Nobel Prizes, called attention to her treatment during the awarding of this year’s peace prize to President Obama.

“Ms. Ebadi is prevented from working as a defender of human rights in her home country, and the Iranian authorities have closed the Defenders of Human Rights Center of which she was co-founder,” Norway’s foreign minister, Jonas Gahr Stoere, and his Swedish counterpart, Carl Bildt, said in a statement issued Thursday.

I reiterate ..”Human rights” and “peace” are not the same thing in the English language. In Norwegian they might be. But in English they are not. Often nations have to go to war to protect “human rights”.

One has to conclude that the Norwegians believe in appeasement.

(1)I doubt whether terrorists like al-Qaida can be defeated.
(2) It is interesting that Obama compared “Al-Qaida’s” to “Hitler’s armies”.This was a mistake. He should have compared “Hitler’s armies” to Madman-iniran’s regime.
(3) Obama is misleading the world.

“Obama mentioned nice safe past Nobel Peace Prize winners. He kept completely silent about Iran’s Shirin Ebadi, even though this was within days of the Iranian regime having raided her bank deposit box and confiscated her Peace Prize Medal. What an outrage for him to have turned a blind eye to at such a time. ”

Obviously Obama didn’t want to upset Madman-iniran.

Of course, Shirin Ebadi should have been awarded a Nobel Prize for Human Rights or a Nobel Prize for Democracy. Further evidence that Nobel Prize for Peace is ludicrous.

The tragedy is that Obama has been appeasing Madman-iniran. And it will probably lead to a nuclear war. Kindov ironik?

But as a head of state sworn to protect and defend my nation, I cannot be guided by their examples alone. I face the world as it is, and cannot stand idle in the face of threats to the American people. For make no mistake: Evil does exist in the world. A nonviolent movement could not have halted Hitler’s armies. Negotiations cannot convince al-Qaidas leaders to lay down their arms. To say that force is sometimes necessary is not a call to cynicism — it is a recognition of history, the imperfections of man and the limits of reason.

It showed what I had believed from the start, that Obama was more of a centrist than either the left or the right had thought. As I said in my latest blog entry, It seems our President is an Augustinian Democrat.
