May I respectfully suggest that all those (and I expect that means most here) who support Mr Pasquill write to Mr Miliband or Mr Hague (as you consider appropriate) and ask them what the hell they think they are up to, and why Mockbul Ali was promoted (as alleged by Nick Cohen) while Mr Pasquill was fired, and not vice versa. I further suggest the use of strong language.

I do not like any of this and it must alarm many others. Every week it seems one learns from Harry's Place (superb work by-the-way) of government departments and ministries employing people with very questionable backgrounds in extremism and intolerance.

I do not suggest people cannot reform themselves merely that certain work must be open only to people who do not have 'form'. They can certainly be interviewed and questioned as part of building up a policy or informing a view, but here we read of people who are being offered paid work and worse perhaps, a clearance and ability to move within government. So, am I to understand a person with a record of extreme views is able to stroll into restricted premises with impunity? Quite apart from the clear security implications, the endorsement gives its own power, a power which having changed once might choose to change again.

Actually, the problem of having an important and one time utterly dominant political party playing the radical muslim or extremist Arab card is not specific to GB, but is a social-democrat problem at large. The German SPD under the influence of Gerhard Schröder and Frank-Walter Steinmeier is the Syrian regime's door to the West, and quite openly so: http://www.rolfmuetzenich.de/pressespiegel/detail.php?klasse=6&oid=1836
It is in no way better.

I can't hep but admit to a sneaky admiration for Kelly and Blears though. One can't help wondering whether they have been playing cricket all unawares, against a machine.

Let's hope that when Denham is fired come Election Night, Hafeez will swiftly follow. Now, how about an article on the Tories' approach, because from May next year that's the one that we'll be following...
