Tony Spilotro’s right hand man, the killer frank cullotta was in that movie Casino, that was a mistake, to have a real life killer in the movie shows a lack of understanding of the nature of the cosa nostra beast or possibly a bit of admiration for, the mafia on the part of its director.

All in all, a good movie, even with that bastard cullotta playing a role, wiseguys was also good, did that have any real life murderous gangsters playing a role?

I thought the ‘go to hell Europe’ lines in your post of 7.38 a.m. 25 October 2009 really over done, especially the final paragraph. This is fine to rouse an audience of fellow believers and fire up the small minded and insecure but I do not think sensible people need to resort to this kind of emotional nonsense.

Nation states will always follow their interests rather than ideals. There are few exceptions to this rule and my own reservations about post 1945 history is the way myths have been encouraged which actively distort events in order to produce a short term benefit; a cover up indeed. Eventually truth will out, but when is everntually and what finally is true?

It was said of someone (Huey Long ?), that the only way he could lose was to be found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy – that was Barak Obama in 2008. I know people who had never voted for a Democrat before who voted for Obama. The fact that he is a smart, charismatic family man didn’t hurt, and some people, for whom his race might have been a problem in other years, overlooked it and voted for him.

My own disclosure: I was a Clinton partisan and ended up voting for Obama because McCain chose Palin as his running mate, and because, in the end, we had to get the GOP out of the White House. I can’t say that I think he is doing a wonderful job, but he is still new.

From my reading of the post Dalia Mogahed was either naive or has been disingenous. If anything like this happens to her again she should go.
