Most of them are “concentrated in Jerusalem, but also in and around Ramat Beit Shemesh Bet (or B) near Jerusalem, and Bnei Brak”.

Perhaps they studied one another’s cherished beliefs and realized that restoring the Line of David and welcoming the Hidden Imam are not compatible. Or perhaps Ahmadinejad’s holding out to meet some Quakers.

If the story is true, then Ahamddinejad’s ditched them because he’s no longer concerned about being acknowledged as anti-Semitic. In fact he’s probably actively seeking that title and NK are a hindrance.

I think that Ahamdinejad is not going to have cut NK loose, even if he snubbed them in NY. The Iranians are not in the least stupid or under-informed, and there’s no way they ever could have believed that NK had any wider following in the Jewish community.

I don’t think there’s any chance that NK will find themselves less than welcome as demonstration fodder on any of the demos organized and supported by the Iranian regime and their local proxies. NK are far too convenient as visual aids to “prove” that they’re not anti-semitic.

Next time Ahmadinejad organizes another Holocaust denial event, they’ll do doubt get invited.

But just now, something’s going on. The Iranian Foreign Minister has just travelled to the USA. Supposedly to visit the Pakistani embassy in Washington which handles their business in the US and not to meet with any US officials, though it’s all agreed and confirmed with the US govt.

So I think we may see some downplaying of the more Grand Guignol side of Iranian politics just at the moment. And a matching silence on the US side at the fate of the Iranian opposition.
