mod, I just read the darfur post now a couple of the comments, it’s depressing stuff and beyond parody really, turns out that according to the experts at SU there was nothing to see and the darfur movement was really just another one of our plots.

The first I heard about darfur was when there was a large angry contingent on the big G8 demo in Edinburgh, those guys were most definitely not neo-cons or zionist apologists; I doubt Andy Newman would have dared approach and tell them they were tools of imperialism.

I wonder what Comrade Cardigan will say about Durfur?

I suppose something along the lines of “Oh, it was mostly a ploy to distract from …..” or “those damn Z…….. again”

I doubt he’ll mention China’s role in keeping heat off the Sudanese ruling classes, or how China is benefiting from trade with Sudan.

Or the fact that the leaders of Sudan came to power in a coup d’etat.

I mean, once Comrade Cardigan has cross the line and is now happily defending the Beijing dictatorship then it is just a small step from becoming a PR mouth-piece for the murderers that run Sudan.

I heard Maryam Namazie tell a story from the family of a victim today; when they went to Evin Prison to collect his body, they were shown photos of 50-60 corpses so they could pick out which one he was.

No way that only 20 (I suppose IHRC would say 12) protestors have been killed.
