I thought people got all excited in your country when white people stockpile weapons too. Supposedly there are laws against owning weapons or some such.

The only use I know of for night vision goggles is for hunting deer at night and for military operations, as in shooting police. Again, I thought there wasn’t much deer hunting these days in Britain and you had to be “the right kind of people” to do it. OTOH, there are some plant species that flower at night, the night-blooming cereus for instance, so maybe that’s what he wanted them for.
