Yes, Shamir has privileges anti-Muslim haters don’t enjoy. But it’s part of a complex phenomenon, whereby certain people or countries are punished over certain behaviors, while other people and countries enjoy full impunity to behave exactly alike.

Why is Geert Wilders banned and Shamir not? For the same reason that the EU upgraded its relations with Israel, which regularly has ministers who openly express their hate of Arabs, while it would expell any member country that had ministers who openly expressed their hate of Jews.
