As to who hates whom the most, I think actions speak louder than words. Having said this, reportage and news agendas have a habit of privileging certain events over others.

Let’s count the numbers of people who’ve died as a result of the violent actions of various regimes in, say, the 20th century. Or even in the first 8 years of the 21st. Then we can have a chart to look at and compare the worst offenders.

That should settle a lot of arguments about perspective and scale.

Then we could have a sensible discussion about ethics.
