I've just seen this posting and thought it useful to draw your attention to a book I've written on this subject - The London Bombings: An Independent Inquiry (Duckworth, 2006). If you check out my blog you might find interesting some of my articles on the British govt's abject and ongoing failure to apprehend and prosecute these extremists, despite abundant evidence of their complicity in all manner of crimes from incitement to violence (under common criminal law) to supporting and glorifying terrorist activity. I do also attempt to explain some of the potential details, and it has a great deal to do with covert British (and American) intelligence ties with certain Islamist groups and corrupt states in the Middle East and Central Asia that finance those groups.

Idiot. Incitement to break the law is a criminal offence. Also look up 'conspiracy'.

It is our religious obligation to prepare ourselves both physically and mentally and rise up against Muslim oppression

Absolutely. And the first step should be to kick this scum out of the country.

I have long since come to the conclusion that Choudhary lives a protected life as far as the UK authorities are concerned. The reasons we can only speculate.

Choudhary also said at the same meeting that he believed a covenant of security existed between "them" and "us" here as their life and wealth was protected. Did the Evening Standard miss that bit out? Strange.

Why Hasn’t Anjum Choudhry Been Arrested?

Andrew Adams: Because it isn’t clear that he’s committed a criminal offence?

Andrew, Section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000 makes it an offence to belong to a proscribed terrorist organisation as identified by the legislation.

Section 12 of the Act, as set out below, makes it an offence to support a proscribed organisation:

(1) A person commits an offence if—
(a) he invites support for a proscribed organisation, and
(b) the support is not, or is not restricted to, the provision of money or other property (within the meaning of section 15).
(2) A person commits an offence if he arranges, manages or assists in arranging or managing a meeting which he knows is—
(a) to support a proscribed organisation,
(b) to further the activities of a proscribed organisation, or
(c) to be addressed by a person who belongs or professes to belong to a proscribed organisation.
(3) A person commits an offence if he addresses a meeting and the purpose of his address is to encourage support for a proscribed organisation or to further its activities.

Al Gurabaa and the Saved Sect - both off-shoots of Al Muhajiroun - are on the proscribed list.

After Al-Ghurabaa and the Saved (Saviour) Sect were banned, their supporters went on to form The Followers of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’aah (ASWJ), as the Sunday Times reported:

“Al-Ghuraaba and the Saviour Sect, two offshoots of Al-Muhajiroun, which had kept a low profile since the summer, announced on Friday that they had merged into a stronger organisation.

The new group — Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah (ASWJ) [Followers of the Prophet] — is headed by Anjem Choudary, who was second in command to the cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed before Al-Muhajiroun disbanded early this year."

ASWJ operated an invitation-only website, thought to have had around 700 members. A Sunday Times reporter who infiltrated the site found calls for violent holy war and recordings from Osama Bin Laden; Ayman al-Zawahiri, his deputy; and terrorists from Iraq.

Islam4uk is simply the public face of ASWJ. The people involved in Islam4UK / ASWJ all have a history with Al-Muhaiiroun, Al Garabaa or the Saved Sect, including:

Anjem Choudary, along with Omar Bakri, was joint leader of Al-Muhajiroun.

Abu Uzair ( Sajid Sharif) is the former leader of The Saved Sect. Praised the 9/11 terrorists as “magnificent”.

Abu Waleed is linked to both Omar Bakri and Anjem Choudary through the latter’s London School of Shariah

Sulayman Keeler (Simon Keeler) British convert. Founder of ASJW, former member of Al-Muj. Currently serving four years for terror fundraising and incitement to terrorism overseas.

It should be apparent that Islam4uk / ASWJ is merely Al-Muhajiroun / Al-Ghurabaa / The Saved Sect under another name.

The Islam4uk website carries a link explaining ASWJ, and it appears from the Evening Standard’s article that the ASWJ leader Abu Yahya was a speaker at the meeting.

Abu Yahya - Abdul Rahman Saleem - was sentenced to three years imprisonment in April 2007 for incitement to terrorism overseas. If this is the same Abu Yahya - and it likely is, given that he would have been eligible for early release in Oct 2008 - then it is evidence that terrorist supporters are involved in Islam4UK. Indeed, allowing him to speak at the meeting would appear to be a clear breach of the Terrorism Act.

The police and the Home Office are dithering - they need to act NOW.

"After all, if you lived in Saudia Arabia or some Nigerian states, you’d have no choice."

But I live in Britain thank goodness and I do have a choice and my choice is not to let these people get any more threatening to my sense of safety.

However, it's evident that people like me don't matter to this fart arsed government who are themselves terrified of addressing the problem as it should be addressed. Unfortunately, I gather that Choudary is British-born so he can't be deported and although he is all in favour of sharia he does not hesitate, does he, to take advantage of our democratic rights and freedom of speech to shoot off his big mouth.

I can't see my sense of safety improving until it and the law enforcement agencies stop tippytoeing around the likes of him.

When I said 'saving them from themselves', I was thinking of the 13-year old gang-rape victim in Somalia who was stoned to death for 'fornication and adultery' when she reported it to the Police. You're right, it's totally up to them and not our business at all.
