The mistake Desrosiers made was to be honest. And for that she must pay £4,000 to this whining frumpy hijabette.

One consequence is that small businesses will think twice before interviewing Muslims.

"Why should a hairdressing salon carry even the risk of losing business because an irrational third party who as decided that showing hair is sinful and thus must be covered up at all times "

Absolutely! next time i need to get my knob swabbed for chlamydia, i'm going to insist that whoever is doing it get his or her pubes out, cos i'm not going to subject myself to any irrational nonsense while i'm undergoing such a terribly rational procedure

Your main point seems to be that the hairdresser should have lied about the reasons for not employing her.

No.

For about the 500th time the hairdresser should not have lied about the reasons for not employing her and then she would not have been fined.

Do you get it now?

Graham This is what you said above: “Is there some reason why she should not go for this job to put food on her table?”

This is the MPAC said:The attacks on Bushra are nothing other than Islamophobia unleashed against a young Muslim female - trying to earn an honest living.

It seems to me the sentiments are very similar.

Fucking hell with logic like that you could probably drag the local jobcentre into the international Islamist conspiracy as well!

Too fucking funny!

Graham This is what you said above: "Is there some reason why she should not go for this job to put food on her table?"

This is the MPAC said:The attacks on Bushra are nothing other than Islamophobia unleashed against a young Muslim female - trying to earn an honest living.

It seems to me the sentiments are very similar.

Bushra pestered the hairdresser for a job and said nothing about having to wear a headscarf over the phone so the hairdreser took pity on her and offered her an interview. She was very taken aback when Bushra turned up wearing a severe Islamic religious statement, only just short of full face covering. (I am most taken with the notion that your circle of friends contains lots of women wearing islamic headgear not for religious reasons but as some sort of style statement.)

However in Bushra's case it was not a style statement, it was a religious one, as she made clear to the hairdresser who said she would have to remove it to work there. She said she could not do this it was against her religion and would be morally wrong to do so.

The hairdresser then said to work in her salon she would need to uncover her head or she could not employ her. Bushra then rushed off to a tribunal seeking compensation for hurt feelings.

Your main point seems to be that the hairdresser should have lied about the reasons for not employing her. Presumably that is what the other 25 did and it was only because this one was naive enough to blurt out the truth she provided an opening to be sued.

Maybe as a Canadian she was not aware how carefully everyone in the UK has to be nowadays when confronted with manic Muslims, not to say what they really think - in this case you can't have the job if you wear a headscarf - but instead to invent careful lies to charges of discrimination and hurt feelings.

JP has it right, "I’m quite sure that British employers took note of this and will now be developing interview ’strategies’ that will systematically exclude nearly all Muslim applicants."

This sort of decision may be legally viable, although I don't know on what experience the tribunal based their decision, but the net result will indeed be to further restrict the job market for Muslims.

Lets try putting this clearly.

I and others wish to defend the idea of employment rights

You and others wish to attack Muslims

Therefore we have a clash of communications here

You remind me of an altar boy I once knew who thought he was holier than all the others.

this episode demonstrates two things:

1) The British appear to be inbred.

2) Large numbers of Muslims are unintegratable into western societies and will cast themselves in bad light no matter the consequences.

I'm quite sure that British employers took note of this and will now be developing interview 'strategies' that will systematically exclude nearly all Muslim applicants.

Such are the consequences of Miss Noah's mischief.

And on the first point, I asked a co-worker ( a Muslim convert to Christianity)) about this business this morning and she just rolled her eyes and said; "the English are a bunch of retards".

You're defending employee rights, Graham?

What a joke!

The best way to accomplish that, Graham, is to shore up the labour market by limiting immigration.

But you won't do that, and so you end up defending and strengthening employers whilst disempowering and crushing working people.

All in the name of anti-racism!

I think this little twat should be taken by the scruff of her neck and then have her ass booted back to Syria......no matter the consequences for the price of gas or our relations with the Saudis.

In fact, you're all so fucking gutless, I'm tempted to go over there, feign hurt feelings and come back thousands richer!

Wou...wou...would ya know of any travel agenices specialising in lawsuit-tourism?

I'll sue for finding fish in my fish 'n chips, potatos in my crisps and hops in my Guinness.

And you, guilt-ridden to the point of cultural suicide, with sympathise with me.

Oh god! Oh England!
